ABOUT CEFN
CEFN originally began in 1997 by Sherry Hill as the nonprofit Christian Entertainment Fellowship Network—a singles ministry— but changed its name and mission to health and fitness in May 2007.
Today, the Community Enrichment Fitness Network is on a mission to empower individuals to make a permanent healthy lifestyle change.
The nonprofit provides nutrition and fitness education programs for adults, seniors, and children through its six-week workshops in Philadelphia, PA and the Delaware Valley.
With a mind, body, and spirit approach, the workshops are taught by certified health professionals with expertise in nutrition, exercise and holistic wellness.
These workshops have been held in churches, senior centers and recreation centers.
CEFN has hosted programs at churches such as True Light Fellowship Church, Mt. Tabor Baptist Church and Solid Rock United Methodist Church. In the past, CEFN has also partnered with LaSalle University and Penn State’s Nutrition Link.
Today, CEFN has partnerships with Temple University, Temple Center for Obesity Research and Education, Drexel University and the Community College of Philadelphia.
Currently, CEFN not only offers nutrition and fitness programs, but also a health and wellness television show, “Focus on Fitness,” on Philadelphia’s public access station PhillyCAM.
